At about 7:52 pm, 911 reported a New York State Department of Corrections transport bus was on fire in the area of Route 9D and Dogwood Lane  in the Town of Fishkill.  It was also reported inmates were fighting with NYS Corrections Officers.  Town of Fishkill Police Officers responded and requested assistance, they were immediately assisted by the New York State Police, Troop K, F and Thruway, Town of East Fishkill Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of Newburgh Police, MTA Police, the Dutchess County Sheriffs Department, City of Beacon Police and the Village of Wappingers Police.  New York State Department of Corrections Officers responded from Downstate Correctional Facility.  The bus fire was extinguished by The Chelsea and Castle Point Fire Departments, also on scene was Mobile Life, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Town of Newburgh Ambulance and Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Two inmates were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.  The remaining 25 inmates were transferred to several other buses and transported to Downstate Correctional Facility.
